You can’t self-care if you don’t even know what you’re feeling!
Moms are out here calling exhaustion “fine” and burnout “just busy.”
NOPE!
When you can name it, you can actually do something about it-whether that’s setting a boundary, taking a breath, or hiding in the bathroom with a coffee you’ll reheat 3 times! (I think we have all been there!)
Model it. Feel it. Speak it.
Because when you speak your emotions, you don’t just survive the chaos, you teach your kids how to handle theirs too!
This is self-care with a pulse, a punchline, and a purpose. And around here, we make it doable!
How we take care of ourselves models to our kids how they one day will treat themselves. Self-care isn’t as easy as “filling up your cup” as some may say.
That seems too SIMPLE! It’s more of a process and requires patience, like filling up a pot of coffee! What fills up your coffee pot?
Self-care is a necessity
Coffee isn't just a drink-it's a process. And so is YOUR SELF-CARE. When we treat our emotional health like brewing coffee, it starts to make sense why rushing or skipping steps leaves us feeling empty.
We NEED to do things that inspire us and move us; things that fill up our coffee pot so that we can pour from a full pot and give to the things in our life that mean most without fully depleting ourselves.
